How To: Add an Email Address to Mac Mail in Macintosh OS X
Summary:
This article describes how to add an email account to Mail.
Note: Before adding an email account to Mail, you will need to know the following information:

Your Suddenlink e-mail address and password
·
Incoming and Outgoing mail servers for your area
o  Incoming mail server ­ pop.suddenlink.net
o  Outgoing mail server ­ smtp.suddenlink.net
Solution
1.
Open Mail.
2.
Select Preferences.
3.
Click Add Account.
4.
The Account Information windows will display.
5.
Select Pop as the Account Type.
6.
Enter the user name in the Full Name field and the Suddenlink email address in the Email.
Click Continue.
7. Enter the POP server in the Incoming Mail Server field.

8. Enter the SMTP server in the Outgoing Mail Server field. Verify that the Use Authentication
box is checked and click OK.
9. Click OK to save settings.
10. Click Close button to complete the process.
All steps complete.
