Action
Activate Personal WebSpace account. View How to: Activate Personal WebSpace for details.
Create Personal WebSpace using any HTML editor.
Important! Name the Personal webpage index.htm or index.html, and make sure it is not
located in a subfolder in Personal WebSpace.
Note: Suddenlink High Speed Internet does not provide an HTML editor; however, there are
many free ones available on the Internet. Any questions involving the setup, use, or
troubleshooting of the FTP or Web Authoring Program should be directed towards the program
manufacturer.
Publish Personal WebSpace by uploading HTML files to the Suddenlink Personal WebSpace
server.
There are three ways to publish Personal WebSpace to the Internet:
·
Publish using Microsoft FrontPage.
·
Upload files using Personal Web Page File Manager.
·
Transfer files using File Transfer Protocol (FTP) by FTP Software or Internet Explorer.
Note:
·
If this is the first time publishing the webpage, a prompt to overwrite the current
index.html page displays. This is a good indicator that the Personal WebSpace was
published correctly.
·
After WebSpace pages are created, they are viewable at the following URL where
username is the Suddenlink High Speed Internet account name:
http://pages.suddenlink.net/webspaceinfo/
