How To: Configure Outlook Express to Leave a Copy of Email Messages on the Mail Servers
► Summary:
This article provides information on how to configure Outlook Express to allow the downloading of
email to a computer hard drive and also to save email messages on the Suddenlink Email server.
► Solution
Initial Computer Configuration
When a computer is set up for Suddenlink High Speed Internet, Suddenlink installers can configure it to
download email from the Suddenlink email server computer and store it on a computer's hard drive
using Outlook Express. This allows a user to keep messages as long as desired and to read new email
quickly. By default, Outlook Express is set to move the email to the customer's computer and then
delete the email from the Suddenlink email servers.
It is possible to configure Outlook Express to leave email messages on the Suddenlink email servers.
This configuration allows a user to have all their email available for reading on their computer as well
as on Suddenlink Mail Servers. Suddenlink High Speed Internet provides our email customers with 250
MB of storage space on the email servers.
Note: Email which exceeds the 250 MB limit may be returned to the sender without the user seeing it.
