How To: Configure a Computer for Suddenlink High Speed Internet

Configuration Information
The Suddenlink High Speed Internet software CD should configure TCP/IP settings automatically. If your
computer required the installation of a Network Interface Card (NIC) and you are having difficulties
proceeding with the installation, you may need to configure TCP/IP using DHCP.
If your computer is already part of a network, you must modify the network configuration on your
computer to connect to the Suddenlink High Speed Internet, which involves one of the following
actions:

Changing your computer's configuration, disconnecting from the network, and then connecting
to the Suddenlink High Speed Internet
·
Using another computer which is not connected to the network to connect to the Suddenlink
High Speed Internet
·
Using the Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) service to obtain the following items:
IP Address

Default gateway
o
Domain Name Service (DNS) address
