How To: Edit an Email Account in Outlook XP

This article provides information on edit an email account in Outlook XP.
Note: Before adding or modifying an email account, you will need to know the following information:

Your Suddenlink e-mail address and password
·
Incoming and Outgoing mail servers for your area
o Incoming Mail Server = pop.suddenlink.net
o Outgoing Mail Server = smtp.suddenlink.net

► Solution
1. Open Outlook XP
2. Click Tools at the top of the window.
3. Click E-mail Accounts.
4. Choose View or change existing e-mail accounts and click Next.
5. Highlight the account you want to edit and click the Change button on the right side of the
screen.
6. Make any necessary changes to the account information and click Test Account Settings to
verify the account is working properly.
7. Click Close once the tests finish.
8. Click Next.
9. Click Finish.
