This article provides POP3 and SMTP email server names and newsgroup server names for Suddenlink
High-Speed Internet customers.

When setting up your email or news, you will be asked to enter a "server name".
To find your POP3 and SMTP server names, contact Customer Support at 1-800-490-9604 to find the
correct mail server information for your area. Then enter those names in the POP3 and SMTP fields of
your email account screen (see illustration below).

What are POP3 and SMTP?
The POP3 (Post Office Protocol 3) server is a computer on the Suddenlink Network that stores your
incoming email messages and allows you to retrieve them at your convenience. The SMTP (Simple Mail
Transfer Protocol) server is a computer on the Suddenlink Network that sends outgoing messages from
your email software and delivers them to the appropriate computer on the Internet.
