Q. What is Personal WebSpace?
A. Personal WebSpace is a feature available to Suddenlink High Speed Internet subscribers
that allows subscribers to create and publish their own web pages.
Q. Is Personal WebSpace available for all Suddenlink High Speed Internet Email addresses?
A. Personal WebSpace can be activated for each Suddenlink High Speed Internet Email
addresses. Personal WebSpace can store up to 250 Megabytes of web content, including
pictures and HTML, per Email address.
Q. How is Personal WebSpace activated?
A. To activate Personal WebSpace, visit Suddenlink Personal WebSpace.
Q. Does Personal WebSpace have a maximum storage capacity?
A. Personal WebSpace has a limit of 250 MB (Megabytes) of storage for each Email address.
There is also a traffic limit of 300 MB of data transfer that can be used per month.
Example: If a 1 MB photo is posted, it can be viewed up to 300 times that month before the
300 MB bandwidth limit is reached, provided that is all there is on the Personal WebSpace
Q. How are files uploaded to Personal WebSpace using FTP (File Transfer Protocol)?
A. An FTP client, which is software that allows one to move files from a computer to Personal
WebSpace, can be used to upload files.
Q. Is Personal WebSpace case sensitive?
A. Yes, Personal WebSpace is case sensitive. If the URL is ever included in Personal WebSpace
as a link on other Web pages, or in Emails or other files, it should be typed in lower case
only. An example of the correct format is http://members.Suddenlink.net/username.
Note: The following will not work. http://members.Suddenlink.net/USERNAME/ and
http://members.Suddenlink.net/UserName/ are both incorrect as they are not all lower
case.
Also note that all references that are made in web pages to a file, such as a graphic, must
be made in the same case as the filename.
Example: If there is a picture named IMAGE.jpg in the Personal WebSpace folder, it must
link to that picture using the same case. The correct way to link to that image would be
http://members.Suddenlink.net/username/IMAGE.jpg.
Using http://members.Suddenlink.net/username/image.jpg or
http://members.Suddenlink.net/username/Image.JPG will not work.
Q. How does one log in to Personal WebSpace with the FTP client?
A. Each FTP client is different. For details on using an FTP client, refer to the specific
instructions provided with the FTP client.

When the FTP client asks for the FTP login information, use the same information used
to log into the Suddenlink High Speed Internet Email account.
Example: If Email address is johndoe@Suddenlink.net, login name is johndoe. The
password is the same as the password that is used to check email and log into Manage
My Account.
