► Symptoms
The Following Error will display when trying to send email.
The message could not be sent because one of the recipients was rejected by the
server. The rejected e-mail address was `JaneDoe@domain.com. Subject "Hello",
Account: `pop.domain.com', Server `SMTP.domain.com', Protocol: SMTP, Server
Response: `550 This email has been blocked. Please contact
postmaster@domain.com with UNBLOCK in the subject if you feel this was in
error.", Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No. Server Error: 550, Error Number: 0x0800CCC79
► Solution
1. If you are connecting to the Internet while away from home on a non-Suddenlink Internet
connection and trying to use the Suddenlink SMTP server, you will receive this error.
2. If two or more Internet Service Providers are installed on your PC at home, you may be
connected through a different ISP, and trying to send mail using the Suddenlink SMTP server.
3. The reply address in the properties of the Outlook Express may be different then that of your
Suddenlink account.
4. You may have the option "My outgoing going server requires authentication" selected. To
resolve this issue, open Outlook Express
Click Tools > Accounts

Click Mail > Highlight the account and click Properties
o
Click the Connections tab
o
Select LAN (Local Area Network) and place a check beside this option.
o
Click the Servers and uncheck the option "My server requires authentication"
o
Click OK
o
5. Verify that the email recipient you are sending to is a valid address. This error can also occur if
the message you are sending has too many recipients.
