For those of you who are not familiar with Paramount Plus, you may have heard of CBS All Access. In addition, if you were already a CBS All Access subscriber then your subscription will transfer over to Paramount Plus.
What channels does it feature?
Paramount Plus includes live news and sports, on-demand shows and movies. You’ll even be able to check out some of the originals from the parent company ViacomCBS’ brands such as CBS, MTV, BET, Comedy Central, Nickelodeon and Paramount Network, as well as the Paramount Pictures movie studio.

Paramount Plus will offer several movies by Paramount Pictures about a month and a half after they premiere in theatres. Mission: Impossible 7 is scheduled to reach cinemas in November and then stream on Paramount Plus in January. As for other movies, they will most likely have a longer gap between their theatre debuts and when they’re available to stream.
Paramount Plus plans to have a library with over 30,000 television show episodes and 2,500 movies. They also will be debuting 36 original series in the upcoming year. Some of the originals include a revival of the 1990s sitcom, Frasier, a CG-animation version of Nickelodeon's Rugrats, and a new studio founded by the original creators of Avatar: The Last Airbender, where they will be producing various programs, such as a new animated film.
How much does it cost?
Paramount Plus offers a premier option which costs $10 a month or $100 annually to stream ad-free. If you don’t mind ads, you can get the $6 a month or $60 annual option. They will be adding a limited $5 a month tier in June which will include advertisements and suspend access to CBS’ live network. By this point, the $6 a month/$60 annual option will no longer be available.

Is Paramount Plus worth getting?
It seems that Paramount Plus is worth getting if you’re one of the niche markets that they’re targeting, such as nostalgic millennials who grew up watching SpongeBob SquarePants or Trekkies who want are eager to watch all the Star Trek TV episodes.
It seems that the greatest strengths of Paramount Plus is it’s interface. It incorporates a large rotating banner showcasing its promoted content. You also get category buttons for each brand, such as CBS, BET, Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, Smithsonian Channel.
Paramount Plus also includes a queue containing previously viewed content that is editable, and not just when being viewed in a web browser. Navigating through the rows of shows and movies in Paramount Plus is easy. Filters allow you to see all the shows and movies in alphabetical order, as well as by genre.
For the most part, it seems that this service is worth getting so long as you don’t already have on-demand access to the channels and shows. In addition, it seems that there are streaming services with more options for more competitive costs but this is a great alternative if you’ve already exhausted all other streaming service options.
